About the Client, Skyline Whitespace:

Skyline Whitespace design and create memorable exhibition stands for a wide range of industry sectors from government, I.T., leisure, retail and banking through to charities and small privately owned organisations.

I initially saw the client because they wanted some advice on how to market their business online and get ahead of their competitors who were at the top of the search engine results. We decided that the best way to do that was to create a new website which was more search engine friendly and to make sure that it was optimised correctly for the search terms they wanted to compete for. 

Summary of Project:

The client wanted a showcase site that would not only look good and display the many variations of display products that they create but also one that would reach the top of the search results and enable them to increase the online visibility of the business. They also wanted to be able to update the site themselves which they had not previously been able to do.

The Solution:

We chose to provide a Business Edge solution due to its modular platform which enabled us to add the appropriate modules to achieve the functionality required, and also to achieve a very high-end looking solution.

For this client in their industry, image is extremely important and they were therefore very particular about the design and implementation of their solution. We partnered with Aiyra Technologies to deliver this solution and they were extremely helpful and creative throughout this process.

In order to help with the marketing of the site we have incorporated some content pages provided by InfoSearch Media (WSI Web Words) and these pages are already bringing traffic to the site.

Results:

The new www.skylinewhitespace.com website reflects the sleek and professional image of Skyline Whitespace and conveys their exceptional exhibition services and portfolio of past projects in an organised and attractive manner. The client’s reaction has been very positive with internal staff and other Skyline subsidiaries showing enthusiasm and interest in the new UK site. They are already seeing improved traffic, conversion rates and search engine results and are receiving increased management information from our Web analytics service.

Conclusion:

The Business Edge has been a great solution for this client. It has been flexible enough to meet the client’s needs and the modular design makes it easy to add functionality whilst keeping the site design consistent.

By incorporating some optimised content pages into the solution from the outset we have launched the site and are quickly seeing improved search results over the client’s previous website. Experience Holidays are a wholly independently owned and run holiday company. Their experience in the world of travel spans several decades, covers many thousands of miles travelled, hundreds of properties inspected and attractions and activities tried and tested.

The Solution:

Eastbourne, UK based WSI Consultants, Anne and Graham Buchanan worked closely with the GWS team to develop a website for their travel industry client: http://www.experienceholidays.co.uk/. The travel company recently received the "Business of the Year" award in the 2007 Eastbourne Business Awards and attributed their success in large measure to their new website.

Graham did the SEO on the site and is managing this ongoing. They are getting a lot of business from their website that is worth a lot of money and  new clients to them and they are delighted with us!

The main challenge was how they can leverage from the large amount of clients that purchase their products on a regular basis. Their clients buy their products but remain anonymous and they did not have any communication with them.

Objective:

The main objective of the website was to support the promotion of their products. They started a contest to win trip for two to India. The client had to send them the bar code of the product to enter to the competition. The website provided information and support. They also used it to build mailing list and used email marketing extensively to leverage from this effort.

The Solution:

Developed a new website using WSI eFusion, incorporated a new design and ensured the site included detail information about their products. It also features their promotions and the ability to subscribe to their mailing list to receive recipes and discounts.

Flambeaux Lighting Case Study

Goals and Challenges:

The client has a well-established wholesale business but wanted to get into the retail sector. The problem was that none of their sales materials were geared for retail clients and they did not have any experience dealing directly with the public.

Objectives:

To create an e-commerce business model that would incorporate the website, email marketing, specials and promotions. WSI’s plan included the design of the new website, management of ongoing specials to drive business, paid search and a search engine optimization (SEO) strategy.

Benefits to the Client:

The site has far surpassed all initial expectations. We were concerned with the economy that many people would not be looking for this item which is definitely a luxury item. However, the site sold its first lantern within 24 hours and has generated significant revenue in the first 60 days. This is especially good news given that the winter has traditionally been the slow time for this client, so we are very excited about the possibilities for this spring.
